Coronation Afternoon Treat at the Bollinger Burlington Bar

Celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, with Bollinger Burlington Bar’s exclusive Afternoon Treat menu

To celebrate the historic occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, Champagne Bollinger is launching an Afternoon Treat Menu, available exclusively at The Bollinger Burlington Bar, in Mayfair, London.

The special menu, which will be Bollinger’s take on the quintessentially British afternoon tea, has been created in collaboration with fellow Royal Warrant holder, patisserie chef Didier Merveilleux, making it a tasting experience of truly royal standards. Didier Merveilleux, has created some exquisite delicacies for the occasion, including mini peach and vanilla tart, mini strawberry choux craquelin and passion yuzu macaroon, which will be paired with a glass of Bollinger’s signature Special Cuvée. In keeping with the theme, the patisseries feature edible decorations, including golden crowns, Coronation emblem and the Champagne Bollinger blazon. The Afternoon Treat menu will be served on the finest tableware from Thomas Goode & Co., the preferred purveyor of exclusive luxury goods to the Royal Household.

Visitors to the Bollinger Burlington Bar will also be able to view the first commissioned portrait of His Majesty King Charles III. The portrait was unveiled at a private event to celebrate the Coronation on 18 April and is being showcased exclusively in the Bar’s window and on a collector’s edition menu, available throughout the Coronation period. During this time, guests will also be able to admire the magnificent Coronation installations in the Arcade and Champagne Bollinger’s historical Royal Warrant certifications. The portrait, by Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) Scholar Alastair Barford, was commissioned by Illustrated London News, co-hosts of the Coronation event, and appears on the cover of its “The Illustrated Coronation Edition”.,

For each Afternoon Treat Menu sold, Champagne Bollinger will be making a donation to QEST in recognition of their work in supporting excellence in British craftsmanship.

Having been granted the Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1884, Champagne Bollinger will soon be celebrating its 140th year of continuously holding this prestigious honour. The Bollinger family treasure this recognition greatly and the Royal Warrant proudly adorns each bottle of Bollinger that leaves the family-owned Maison.

The Bollinger Afternoon Treat Menu will be exclusively available at Bollinger Burlington Bar from 27 April to 14 May priced £125/pp and includes a glass of the House’s signature Bollinger Special Cuvée.
