Luxury crystal and glass purveyor Lalique is famed for its collectable art objects, light fixtures, furniture and jewellery. The company was founded 130 years ago by René Lalique, a celebrated jeweller-turned-glass artist whose work spanned Art Nouveau, Art Deco and modernist styles, and created the modern perfume bottle in partnership with Francois Coty.
It was under the leadership of René’s son Marc that the house began producing crystal. He was succeeded by his daughter Marie-Claude, who reintroduced jewellery and launched the Lalique de Lalique fragrance.
Today, all Lalique pieces are made in the same Alsace glassworks that René Lalique founded in 1921. The house is renowned globally for its timeless creations and uniquely French approach to ‘the art of living’.
